	Fall Little League Baseball Update

All-

The managers for Fall Little League Baseball received their rosters yesterday (8/27). Many of you have likely heard from your managers already, but if you have not yet you will shortly. Team schedules are posted on the website, and here is the general schedule:

The season starts next Saturday, September 4.

All Derek Jeter games (1st and 2nd Grade) are at 8:30.

All Goose Gossage games (3rd and 4th Grade) are at 10:30.

All Yogi Berra games (5th, 6th and 7th Grade) are at 12:30 and 2:30.

All games last one hour and 45 minutes.

We had an overwhelming response this season. Nearly 350 kids are signed up to play, which is a big increase over last season. Because of the large number of players registered, the rosters are slightly larger than you may be used to in our Spring season. As we share field space with other Fall sports we are using every available baseball field each Saturday. However, as many of your kids are playing soccer, football and other sports, the larger rosters will allow you to miss a baseball game here and there without jeapardizing the rest of the team.

We have 24 teams across the Berra, Gossage and Jeter divisions. The teams this season are named after Minor League affiliates of the Major League Baseball teams.

We're looking forward to a great season. Play ball!

	Registration Open for Fall Outside Baseball Clinics

2010 FALL BASEBALL CLINICS

DARIEN LITTLE LEAGUE

Open to all those who will be in 4^ththrough 7^thgrade in the 2010/11 school year and who will be no older than 12 years old as of April 30, 2011.

Clinics will be run by DHS Baseball Coaching Staff & Players. All clinics will be held on the MCGUANE FIELDS.

The Tuesday & Thursday clinics will focus on supplementing the fall season with more focused skill development. During each clinic, players will be brought through a series of drills to improve their hitting, fielding, base running and other aspects of the game of baseball. Players will also learn how to react during game situations. Each session is limited to 45 players.

The Wednesday clinic will be a pitching-only clinic. Pitchers will be brought through a series of drills to improve their pitching. Session is limited to 15 players.
