Baseball Evaluations & Tryouts
During the AAA and Minors evaluations or Majors tryouts, each player candidate will be given the opportunity to run, throw, field ground and fly balls, pitch (optional) and hit live pitching with other players. League volunteers will be evaluating the ability of each player. In order to make this initial evaluation a positive experience, we ask that all parents wait outside while their player is trying out. We do not want to put additional stress on your child and would greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter. The tryout should take approximately 10-15 minutes (not including sign-in and wait time).
IMPORTANT: There are no evaluations for tee-ball, A and AA baseball leagues.
Returning Major League Players
Returning Majors players are not required to attend a tryout.
Major League Tryout
All 10, 11 and 12-year olds (based on player's age as of 8/31/2022) who previously played in the Minors or AAA or are new this year and wish to tryout for the Majors should attend one of the following tryouts. Majors is the most competitive division, usually comprised of 12 and 11 year olds with select 10 year olds. To be considered for the league, a participant who has not previously played in the Major League must attend one of the tryouts listed below. 11 and 10 year olds who DO NOT want to play in the Majors must attend the Minor League evaluation (see below for details).
All 12 year olds are guaranteed a spot in Majors, however, if the 12 year-old has not played in Majors previously he/she MUST still be evaluated.
Please make every effort to attend the first tryout as the second tryout is a makeup session for those with unavoidable conflicts with the weekend session.
